Preventative Vaccine Policy
Seven Sons and our partners do not administer mRNA vaccines. Furthermore, we have no plans to adopt mRNA vaccines and intend to continue this policy. Most consumers are unaware that even 100% Certified Organic standards allow vaccine use similar to conventional practices.
At Seven Sons, we have found that reliance on vaccines can be reduced and, in some cases, eliminated by building resilience in the health of our livestock. We've always been judicious when deciding if and when vaccines should be used.
Currently, we allow traditional vaccines in cases with high risk for life-threatening infections such as tetanus in cattle or viral conditions such as Marek's disease in laying hens. Building resilience against disease and sickness is an effort that will require decades of soil regeneration and holistic breeding practices to rebuild natural resistance to pests and disease.
This effort reflects the very mission of Seven Sons. Therefore, we will always seek to pursue preventive and holistic alternatives to conventional vaccine use and practices.
