Earlier this month, Spencer and I had the privilege of hosting some incredible chefs from France for a farm tour.

They are here in Indiana competing in the World Food Championships which are being hosted in Indianapolis. Last year, their team actually won the World Burger Championship! 🍔

While prepping for their event down in Indianapolis (about 90 minutes South of us), they looked online for a local farm to partner with to grab the meats they'd use for their competition.

We were more than happy to oblige.

They made the trip up and got to spend time out on pasture with the cattle (which they loved the most), shop inside our lil' farm store, tour our egg processing area for our sister brand Fresh Egg Co, and even got to watch and learn how we pack orders for safe home delivery to 48 states here from our Indiana farm.

As the current chief of farm tours here at the farm, I can say it was my most unique touring experience to date that involved A LOT of Google Translate from all of our phones.

I was thankful that that tool helped bridge the communication gap.

Thankfully, though, so much of their communication was evident with non-verbal excitement, awe, and wonder as they learned more about Regenerative farming and its impact on our soil, the environment, human health, and the livelihood it provides these animals.

What a blessing it is for our family to promote this way of farming not just in Huntington County, Indiana, or the Midwest...or even just in the United States. We now have friends "across the pond" who get and may champion our way of farming in their neck of the woods.

How awesome is that??

Regardless of how their competition ends, we can all be in agreement that their time and new friendship was a BIG WIN.

Make sure to check out Instagram or Facebook where we'll share the results of their competition.

Otherwise, here's a small photobook of our day together:
