Starting a Buying Club
These clubs are a fantastic opportunity for you to become a part of a local consumer network in which you encourage your friends and family to participate while being rewarded for your efforts with meat bonuses and a convenient and affordable delivery service.
Anyone who would like to establish a relationship with our family farm and is willing to help promote, organize and host deliveries.
- To help start the buying club by contacting your friends, family, co-workers and other associates who you believe would like to receive our farm fresh meats. (Feel free to utilize our website as a promotional tool.)
- To help facilitate each delivery by offering a convenient location where you and other customers can meet. This can be at your home, business, place of work, church or anywhere proper permission is granted. Location should be able to accommodate our truck & trailer and other customer vehicles. We ask that you would remain at the delivery location until we leave.
- To give information and directions to new club members who may contact you.
- To help with a member who may not be able to make a pickup date by allowing them to leave a ice chest where their meat can be stored for a short period of time. (This is a optional responsibility)
- To call each each member in your buying club to remind them of delivery dates and times.
To offer a phone number and/or email address that can be listed on our website as the club leader contact.
- To communicate with Seven Sons as needed.
You get the the convenience of deciding when, where and how often deliveries are made.
It can be a very rewarding experience to create your own Buying Club, whereby you help introduce people to healthier, great tasting, and more environmentally-friendly foods.
As a “thank you” for absorbing more traffic in your driveway the club leader receives meat bonuses equaling 5% of the total order amount placed by other members of the club. So, for example, a club leader may ‘host’ $2,000 worth of sales for an additional $100 worth of bonus meats (5% of $2,000). The 5% bonus is given out for each and every delivery during your reign as the club leader. The bonus is calculated based on other members orders, because it is their membership and their orders that create the extra work for the club leader.
For efficiency purposes there is a minimum purchase for the entire club of $1,000 for most delivery locations. There a no minimum orders for each club member.
Depending upon the size of your club deliveries can be made monthly, bi-monthly, 3 times per year (spring, summer & fall) or whenever you would like.
Just one. To help defray our fuel costs, there is a 7% delivery fee added to each customer's entire order, with a $15 minimum and a $30 cap. For example, the delivery fee would be around $15 for a $200 order, and $30 for a $1,000 order – a fraction of the cost of having your order shipped.
*Note: Delivery fee does not apply to our farm pickup and also does not apply to first time ordered sample packages (honor system applies.)
Currently we are mainly starting clubs in North and Central Indiana.
